Happy Thanksgiving from the Wynne School District! As we gather with family and loved ones to reflect on the blessings in our lives, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to the Wynne School District community. We are thankful for our dedicated teachers and staff who go above and beyond to support our students. We are thankful for our parents and guardians who partner with us in our mission to educate and inspire every child. And we are thankful for our students, who bring so much joy and laughter to our schools. This year, we have much to be thankful for. Our students are making great progress, and our schools are thriving. We are committed to providing our students with a safe and supportive learning environment where they can reach their full potential. We are also thankful to be back in school with everyone together after the tornado. We are so grateful to all of those who volunteered, donated, or lent a helping hand during our recovery. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Thank you for being a part of the Wynne School District family. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Collier's Book Club had a delightful visit from representatives of the Cross County Library. Mrs. Darby and Mr. Ethan shared information about the public library, its events, and teen programs. They also guided the students in making buttons and handed out some great prizes.

Attention Home Schools in the Wynne School District.

Wynne High School is pleased to share that Science teacher Clay Spann has secured a $15,000.00 grant from the Arkansas Community Foundation. The grant is designated for the WHS Science Department to purchase laboratory equipment. This funding will contribute to providing our students with improved hands-on learning experiences. Congratulations to Mr. Spann on this well-deserved achievement!

Big thanks to the amazing ladies of the Cross County Farm Bureau for visiting Mrs. Neiswander's Agri Flight students. Many thanks for sowing seeds of knowledge with us!

WIS EAST students Bailey, Izzy, and Hayden toured the Odell McCallum Community Center in Wynne today with Center Director Jeremy Bailey. They offered their thoughts on a project to enhance the center's preparedness for future emergencies similar to the recent tornado. EAST students will work on practical aspects of the project such as designing storage, creating sleeping quarters, and providing alternative power. The goal is to transform the center into a comprehensive emergency shelter. Stay tuned for more updates and photos of their progress!

The WHS Junior class had a wonderful meal today to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a great opportunity to come together, enjoy a delicious meal, and give thanks for all we have. Thank you to the teachers who served. It was a great time!

WHS's temporary campus has it all, including kitchens. Today, Ms. Kennedy's students used the new kitchens to make two different kinds of cookies from scratch.

Wynne High School is excited to announce that Mrs. Patricia Spann has received a $1000 grant from the Arkansas Department of Education to purchase new equipment and materials for her AP Biology classroom! This grant will allow us to purchase BioRad pGLO Bacterial Transformation and GFP Kits and a BioRad Temperature Controlled Water Bath. These new resources will help our students learn about the latest scientific techniques and conduct cutting-edge research. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Arkansas Department of Education. This grant will significantly impact our AP Biology program and help us provide our students with the best possible educational experience.
